A 21 -year -old girl, identified as Leticia Paul, died after sick during the contrast tomography exam. The lawyer died at the Rio do Sul Regional Hospital, in the Itajaí Valley, Santa Catarina, this Wednesday (20).
According to the young woman’s aunt, Sandra Paul, she was diagnosed with urinary tract and kidney stone and, for this reason, she performed tomography exams frequently. Letícia has still sick still inside the equipment and suffered a cardiac arrest.
After resuscitation attempts, the lawyer was intubated, but could not resist and died in less than 24 hours. The family suspects that she, although her aunt said she did not consult the terms of the death certificate.
Leticia was graduated in law and was attending postgraduate degree in real estate business. “A fantastic girl radiated light and happiness wherever she went. I’m sure she would be a great professional, because she was determined in everything she did,” said her aunt.
The funeral took place this Thursday (21), at the Jardim Primavera Memorial Cemetery. Then the body was sent to the Vatican Crematorium in Balneário Camboriú.
In a statement, the Rio do Sul Regional Hospital stated that the facts were investigated and properly checked. In addition, he regretted the loss of the young woman and solidated her family members.
