Corinthians announced on Friday (22) the names of the counselors who formalized candidacy for the indirect election that will define the new president of the club. Three names will compete in the election, scheduled for next Monday (25), in Parque São Jorge: Osmar Stabile, 71, Antonio Roque Citadini, 74, and André Castro, 46.
The vote, which involves 299 counselors, between lifetime and triennial, will have first call at 18h.
Current interim president, Stabile tries to stay in office after replacing Augusto Melo in May, when the leader was dismissed by the Deliberative Council. In August, the club members also voted mostly for their dismissal.
Vice-president during the management of Alberto Dualib (1993-2007), Citadini seeks to occupy the chair of president for the first time.
André Castro, who worked at the Corinthians base in the management of Duilio Monteiro Alves (2021-2023), tries to gain space in Alvinegra politics.
In the second will also be defined the new vice president of the Deliberative Council, an agency chaired by Romeu Tuma Júnior. The position has been vague since the resignation of Roberson Medeiros and is considered strategic behind the scenes, as the occupant accumulates the presidency of the Ethics Commission.
Leonardo Fogaça Pantaleão, Peterson Ruan Aitello do Couto Ramos and Rodrigo Vicente Bittar are the candidates for the post.
