Putin expressed the belief that US President Donald Trump’s leadership skills would contribute to the recovery of bilateral relations that have been freezing in recent years. “With the arrival of President Trump, I think, finally, the light at the end of the tunnel appeared. Last week we had a very good, factual and open meeting in Alaska,” said the Russian President with reference to the recent summit.
“The next steps now depend on the leadership of the United States, but I believe that the leadership of current President Donald Trump is a good guarantee that relationships will be restored,” Putin added.
