The latest practices of the Russian army come at a time when negotiations on the organization of the summit between Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky take place on Donald Trump’s initiative.

The Russian Defense Ministry said on Saturday through a Telegram social network that its troops in the Donetsk region in eastern Ukraine occupied two more villages – Sered and Kleban -byk. According to the AFP report, TASR reports this.

AFP states that in particular the occupation of Kleban -byk is an important procedure for the city of Kostilynivka, which can be crucial for Russia for the next advance to Kramatorsko – an important logistics node of the Ukrainian defensive. Russia reported on Friday that its troops in the Donetsk region occupied three more villages.

The latest practices of the Russian army come at a time when negotiations on the organization of the summit between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky are taking place on the initiative of US President Donald Trump.

However, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Friday that “no meeting is planned” and, according to the statements of Zelensky, Moscow is just trying to extend its offensive. On the same day, Trump told reporters that he would make an important decision about the war in Ukraine in the next two weeks, adding that Moscow could face huge sanctions or the United States can also “do nothing”.
