Mark Carney expressed his unstable support to Ukraine. He was invited to Kiev as a special guest.

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney arrived in Kiev on Sunday to commemorate the independence of Ukraine. According to AFP, TASR writes about it.

“The support of Canada for Ukraine is unwavering and we are with you at every step of your fight for the defense of your sovereignty and to fulfill your dreams for your country,” he said in a video posted on his account x shortly after arriving in Kiev.

Carney was invited to Kiev as a “special guest” on the occasion of independence, CBC Canadian television reported.

His visit by the war -destroyed country came at a time when Russian forces are slowly progressing in the devastating war conflict. Moscow announced on Saturday that she had conquered two villages in the Donetsk region in the east of Ukraine.

At the same time, the prospects for the implementation of the summit between the Russian and Ukrainian president are lost, a solution that is promoted by US President Donald Trump as part of his efforts to end the war.
