The organization of, in, established as a rule that 30% of all food served for nearly 50,000 participants come from family farming, agroecology and the production of traditional peoples and communities.
According to a survey, at least 80 production groups and 8,000 families should provide food for the event. Among the delicacies there is Tacacá and Maniçoba, both of indigenous origin.
The mapping was prepared by the project at the COP30 table, which is led by the regeneration and food institutes of tomorrow.
The intention, according to COP organizers, is to ensure more diverse menus and value agricultural practices that respect forest and traditional Amazonian knowledge.
“It will be the first COP with local, agroecological and family farming foods. It’s something innovative, but we can’t waste time,” says Fabricio Muriana of the Regenera Institute.
