Finding a beach with hot water in Portugal may seem mission impossible. However, there is a destination in the Algarve that is surprising tourists and local. In social networks multiply the videos that point this beach in the Algarve as a true paradise of hot water where to dive is not synonymous with cold.
In one of the contents that became viral at Tiktok, the @Andreiaalves888 user shared the experience: “In the Algarve the water is super hot. Maybe the years I got it hottest.” The testimony was not alone.
In the comments, several swimmers confirm that this summer Fuseta beach is “simply magnificent.”
An island that remains a secret
Located about ten kilometers from Olhão, Fuseta Island is part of Ria Formosa Natural Park and extends for approximately nine kilometers. According to the portal Algarve Portugal Tourism, it is still considered “one of the best kept secrets of the Algarve”, although it is increasingly visited year after year.
The connection is made by boat from the fishing village of the fuseta, known for the relaxed atmosphere and the fresh fish. Despite the growth of tourism, the island continues to offer quiet corners and preserved landscapes.
Beach for all tastes
Most visitors remain in the concession zone, closer to the pier, where there are bars and loungers to rent. However, it explains the same portal, the quieter and most beautiful side is east, in the so -called Barra Nova Beach or Barra da Fuseta beach. Here, the environment is wilder, with extensive Areals and a sense of isolation difficult to find on other algarve beaches.
Why is water warmer?
The island’s location within Ria Formosa helps to explain the phenomenon. As it is a lagoon area and channels, water warms more easily than on the beaches open to the Atlantic. The result is a milder sea, ideal for families and for those who usually avoid sea baths due to low temperature.
With more and more tourists sharing online experiences, Fuseta Island gains notoriety not only for natural beauty, but also for the reputation of having the beach with the hottest water ”of the Algarve. For many, it is a true paradise refuge to discover.
