Israeli attacks hit the capital of Yemen, Sanaa, on Sunday, in retaliation for the hissile missiles fired against Israel. Houthi media said the attack killed at least two people and injured five.
Attacks are the latest in more than a year of direct attacks and counterattacks between Israel and Hurti militants, part of a side effect of the war in Gaza.
The Israeli army stated that the targets included a military complex that houses the presidential palace, two power plants and a fuel deposit. The Saba news agency, controlled by the Houthis, said the attacks killed at least two people and wounded five.

“The attacks have been conducted in response to the repeated attacks of the Houthi terrorist regime against the State of Israel and its civilians, including the launch of Terra-tora and UAVs (Unmanned Air Vehicles) to the Israeli territory in recent days,” the military said in a statement.
On Friday, the Houthis said they fired a Ballistic missile against Israel in their latest attack, which, according to them, was in support of the Palestinians in Gaza. An Israeli Air Force officer said on Sunday that the missile probably carried several submission “intended to be detonated with the impact.”
“This is the first time this type of missile has been released from Yemen,” the authority said.

Since the Israeli War in Gaza against the Palestinian militant group Hamas began in October 2023, the Houthis, aligned with Iran, have attacked vessels in the Red Sea, in what they describe as acts of solidarity with Palestinians.
They also fired missiles against Israel frequently, most of which was intercepted. Israel responded with attacks on areas controlled by Houthis, including the important Hodeidah port.
Abdul Qader Al-Murtada, a high-ranking Houthi authority, said on Sunday that Israeli attacks aimed to “project a false image of victory.”
