Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) published a video on Sunday on social networks, stating that his mother and grandparents, both 80, were held hostage during a robbery of the family residence in Southern Rio. According to him, the criminals kept the victims under gun over an hour.

“They just made my mother and my octogenaries hostage to their home in Resende/RJ. And it wasn’t a simple robbery,” wrote the parliamentarian on his social networks. He reported that everyone is doing well, but that the episode was marked by violence.

“It was more than an hour of horror, with a gun on the head and lid with adhesive tape,” said Flávio.

The senator also stated that the criminals approached his mother on arrival, identifying her and making threats: “They said they knew who she was and wanted to know where the money Bolsonaro sent to my grandparents was,” he said.

According to the senator, the robbers rolled the house in search of values, but, without finding amounts in kind, took rings and other belongings. On the escape, they also stole their grandfather’s car.

The parliamentarian said he has already called the competent authorities.
