Tomatoes in Podkarpackie This is a unique alternative to traditional pickled cucumbers. Thanks to pickling, they gain a slightly acid taste, while maintaining their natural juiciness and delicacy. Tomatoes are crunchy, aromatic and full of healthy probiotics that support immunity and digestion. They are great as Addition to dinner, sandwiches, salads or snack boards.
To prepare this recipe, you will need:
- 2 kg of small tomatoes.
For each jar:
- a piece of horseradish,
- large clove of garlic,
- 2 dill branches with a canopy,
- 1/3 teaspoon mustard,
- 2 allspice,
- 1 bay leaf,
- 1 cherry leaf,
- A few balls of pepper.
Floods:
- 1 liter of water,
- 1 tablespoon of stone salt.
Wash and dry the tomatoes thoroughly. The jars and caps will boom with boiling water or sterilize in the oven.
Put a piece of horseradish cut into slices, peeled and crushed garlic, dill branch, mustard, allspice, bay leaf, cherry leaf and several balls of pepper.
Arrange the tomatoes tightly into the jars so that there are no large empty spaces. Cover with a dill branch.
Boil water with stone salt in a pot. Pour tomatoes in jars with a hot pickle, so as to completely cover them.
Immediately turn the jars with clean, dry caps. Turn them upside down, cover with a cloth and leave to cool.
After 3 days, store the jars in a cool and shady place.
