The chief of the Israeli army Ejal Zamir appealed to Prime Minister Netanyahu to accept a ceasefire proposal that would allow the release of Israeli hostages from the Gaza Strip.
The Chief of the General Staff of the Israeli Army General, Ejal Zamir, called on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to adopt a draft ceasefire agreement to dismiss the remaining hostages held in the Gaza Palestinian zone, Monday said Israeli media. According to the DPA report, TASR reports this.
“There is an agreement on the table. It is an improved Witkoff’s agreement, we have to accept it,” said Zamira Israeli television channel ARUC 13. He spoke of a proposal that had previously negotiated a US special envoy for the Middle East Steve Witkoff. The original proposal counted with a 60-day ceasefire, during which ten Israeli hostages would be released in exchange for the imprisoned Palestinians.
Worried about the lives of hostages
“The army has created the conditions for a hostage agreement, now it’s in the hands of Netanyahua,” Zamir continued. He reiterated his concerns that the planned occupation of Gaza would endanger the lives of the remaining 20 hostages, who seem to be alive. Some of them are likely to be detained in this area.
Zamir had previously developed operational plans to take control of the city of Gaza, which were subsequently approved by the management of the state. At September, the Israeli Ministry of Defense called approximately 60,000 midfielder. However, the Chief of General Staff allegedly criticized the government’s decision to occupy a city in which approximately a million people live. Hamas announced last week that he agrees with the new petition.
