The United States included copper on a preliminary list of critical ores, according to a notice released on Monday, 25, by Federal Registerthe North American Official Gazette. The list involves 54 commodities, classifying items as “essential for the American economy” and should facilitate the release of incentives and permissions for exploration, mining and projects.
Among the listed ores are aluminum, graffiti, lithium, nickel, zinc, niobium, manganese and silver.
Potassium, essential for fertilizer production, has also been included.
