The Council of Ethics of Alesp (Legislative Assembly of São Paulo) filed on Tuesday (26) complaint against, accused of domestic violence. There were 6 votes in favor of filing and 1 contrary.
Bove responded to the lawsuit to the Ethics Council after a complaint made by influencer Cíntia Chagas, his ex-wife. He denies the accusations.
The deputy claimed that the process was confidential and, therefore, had no opportunity for broad defense. “The theme of physical violence is serious and deserves to be treated with due respect, not based on partial stories and gossip sites, which denigrates the struggle of women who really need protection,” said Bove.
Chaired by Deputy Delegate Olim (PP), the is composed of nine deputies.
Chagas filed a police report against the deputy in September 2024, accusing him of physical and psychological abuse, which generated a protective measure and an investigation that runs under confidentiality.
The case triggered a war of versions between the couple. Deputy Monica Seixas () then filed a demonstration against the Bove on the Ethics Council, asking for her cancellation.
