The Brazilian team will face South Korea and Japan in October, in friendly preparatory to the 2026 World Cup.
The match against the South Koreans will take place on October 10, at 8am (Brasília time), in Seoul. Following, Brazil faces Japan, on the 14th, at 7:30 am, in Tokyo.
Already classified for the World Cup, the Brazilian National Team ends participation in the South American qualifiers in early September, in games against Chile, on the 4th, and against Bolivia, on the 9th.
Coach Carlo Ancelotti summoned the players on Monday for the clashes of the qualifiers, again without Neymar, who again felt a uncomfortable thigh during training of Santos.
In the last confrontation against South Korea, for the round of 16 of the 2022 World Cup, Brazil won 4-1, with goals from Vinicius Junior, Neymar, Richarlison and Lucas Paquetá.
The Brazilian National Team faced Japan for the last time in 2022, with a 1-0 win, Neymar’s goal.
“Brazil has faced Japan and Korea in other worlds, and it is a different football, with a different school, players who run all the time and a marking that is almost a persecution throughout the field,” said the general executive coordinator of the men’s teams, Rodrigo Caetano.
“After friendly with Korea and Japan, our idea is to play against African teams in November and European level A in March and June 2026,” said Caetano.
