Teld headquarters, operator of electric vehicle chargers, started working in Qingdao, using 100% clean energy
A, an electric vehicle charging network operator, inaugurated its headquarters in the 1st Ultra Zero-Carbono building in the world. The building started to operate on Sunday (24.ago.2025) in Qingdao, east of China.
The building is located in the province of Shandong – 400 km from Beijing. The structure completely eliminates carbon emissions in their operations and works on clean energy.
According to information from, the building is 117 meters high, distributed on 23 floors. The term “ultra” zero-carbon refers to the building’s ability to go beyond conventional clean energy systems, integrating multiple renewable sources.
The structure has photovoltaic glass facades on the east, west and south faces. The daily consumption of the building is approximately 6,000 kWh. Integrated photovoltaic facades provide about 25% of this energy demand, which represents an annual reduction of 500 tons in carbon emissions.
At the bottom of the building, 14 reused batteries of electric vehicles function as a storage system. These units capture surplus solar energy and absorb electricity from the network during periods of low demand, when the cost is only 0.22 yuan per kWh.
The building has an intelligent digital system that integrates approximately 24,000 sensors, eliminating conventional switches. Technology allows automatic interaction with systems such as lighting, climate control and elevators.
