Freedom of choice of consumers is limited by the program, says Deco, and the replacement of gas equipment by electricity can result in increased energy invoices.
The government program E -larcreated to support about 30 thousand families In replacing gas appliances with more efficient electrical equipment, it has not yet started, but is already at the center of a controversy.
The Deco Consumer Protection Association raises serious doubts about the operation of the project: it says it can limit the freedom of choice of consumers and even configure a “Anticoncurrential practice”.
Anyone can apply To a digital voucher to exchange stoves, ovens and gas heater for class A or higher electrical alternatives. Support is assigned in two modalities: up to 1,683 euros for families considered vulnerable and Up to 1,100 euros for the other consumers.
But The amount, attributed to a single check, can only be spent on a single store. For Deco, this raises competition problems.
“The apparent obligation to acquire all equipment and installation from a single company can restrict competition and significantly limit the freedom of choice of consumers,” says Mariana Ludovino, spokesman for Deco Proteste, to.
The decoration also criticizes the lack of incentives in the E -lar program for structural interventions, such as thermal insulation works, which could have long-term impact on the energy efficiency of housing.
And warns: the replacement of gas equipment by electric, although more efficient, may result in increasing energy invoicesespecially if they are not accompanied by efficiency measures in the building.
