The INSS Mixed Parliamentary Commission (CPMI) approved on Tuesday (26) the first calls and invitations in the context of the investigation into retirement and pension fraud, estimated at up to R $ 6.3 billion between 2019 and 2024.
Approved names include ten former INSS presidents, entrepreneurs involved and central figures such as Antonio Carlos Camilo Antunes, known as “Careca do INSS”, pointed out as the financial operator of the fraud.
Approval of the requirements occurs amid the clash between opposition and government. While the opposition presses to hear Frei Chico, Lula’s brother and Sindnapi’s leader, the Plateau tries to shield him and redirect the focus to previous managers, including that of Jair Bolsonaro.

Who was summoned by the INSS CPI
The summoned are part of the nucleus considered essential to clarify the fraud. They are required to attend. If not, they can be conducted coercively.

Next Steps
The CPI rapporteur, Deputy Alfredo Gaspar (Union-AL), argues that the investigation focuses on facts that occurred from 2015, when the scheme would have gained scale. The first hearing is scheduled for Thursday (28), with the testimony of the PF delegate Bruno Oliveira Pereira Bergamaschi, responsible for the investigations.
