SAO PAULO (Reuters)-Health operator Hapvida () reported on Monday that he signed a binding contract for the purchase of Oncoclinicos () Méier’s Oncology Hospital (), located in the north of Rio de Janeiro.
The health and dental company company said in a statement that the estimated acquisition price of R $ 5.3 million will be adjusted “for net debt and working capital” on the closing date.
The hospital, specializing in oncology, has about 80 beds, 4 operating rooms, outpatient offices, image diagnostic center and integrated radiotherapy service.

“Upon completion of the transaction, the company plans to allocate investments for physical and operational adjustments to evolve the equipment to the general hospital profile, expanding the offer of care services in the region, of high demographic density,” Hapvida said in the statement.
The closure of the operation still depends on the signature of the definitive contracts, as well as the necessary approvals, among other conditions.
