Planting cucumbers at the end of August is not popular, but it is better not to miss it, especially since the aura will be favorable. When deciding to plant gardens in the second half of August, you should first of all choose the appropriate variety. They must be resistant to lower temperatures and fungi that develop better in moisture. In addition, it is good for them to have shorter vegetation time and need fewer sunny hours. It’s best to choose self -policies, because pollinating insects are less active at this time. You can choose varieties such as Julian F1 or Izyd F1.
When deciding to plant gardens into the ground, it’s best to choose seedlings. They will release crops from small cuttings quite quickly. In the case of a greenhouse, seeds can be considered, but without such a cover of seed cucumbers they could not make it, grow and result in frosts. Of course, a lot depends on the weather, but the forecasts predict a warm autumn.

Before planting the gardens, it is worth decontaminating the ground to prevent the seedling preventing with fungal diseases. For this purpose, you can use warm water or steam. At the end of August, cucumbers are best placed in sunny positions exposed from the wind. This should not be done on the morning on a sunny day, it is better to choose an evening or slightly cooler days, so that the cuttings can be better acclimatized and adapted to the prevailing conditions. After blowing up, they should be watered. In order to improve the harvest, it is worth reaching for fertilizer – Preferably natural.
