The president (PT) cited the possible suspension of the passport visa of the Minister of Justice, during the opening of the ministerial meeting on Tuesday (26).
The information that the visas of the minister and former president of the Brazilian Senate Rodrigo Pacheco (PSD-MG) would be suspended was given by businessman Paulo Figueiredo, in the United States.
“I wanted to tell companion Lewandowski my solidarity and the government to you because of the unresponsive gesture of the United States to revoke your visa. In fact I think they stop receiving a personality from their competence and quality, I think it’s shameful for them and not to you,” Lula said.
However, and Pacheco have not received an official statement from Americans on the impediment of entering the country so far. The US government also did not confirm the measure.
The US has already applied the sanction viewed against other ministers, such as Alexandre de Moraes, from the Supreme Court (Supreme Court) and Alexandre Padilha (Health). The measure is part of retaliation from Donald Trump’s country to Brazil, which began from the beginning of the tariff.
“You must be proud of what you did for the guys to have so much hatred for you to suspend our Minister of Justice’s visa. These attitudes are unacceptable, not only against Lewandowski, but against the Supreme Court ministers and any other Brazilian personalities,” said the president.
According to Paulo Figueiredo, the information that the cancellation of the visas was effective was given by authorities of the Government Donald Trump.
“While the Federal Police come with useless indictments, I confirm that Senator Rodrigo Pacheco and Minister Ricardo Lewandowski – and his family members – had their American visas revoked by the United States State Department of America,” said Figueiredo in a post at X.
