Slovak Archbishop for breakfast with Zelensky: What was the goal of their meeting?

The Archbishop of Prešov and the metropolitan of the Greek Catholic Church in Slovakia Jonáš Maxim Maxim will be on Monday in Kiev at the invitation of the Ukrainian Ambassador to the Slovak Republic Myroslav Castran He attended a prayer breakfast organized by President Volodymyr Greeny. The program began with a common prayer presented by the top representatives of the three largest churches in Ukraine. For the Greek Catholic Church, the Higher Archbishop of Kiev-Hali-Hali Svjatoslav Ševčuk, the head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, Vladyk Epifanij Dumenko and Protestants Valerij Antonjuk.

This was followed by the speeches of other guests and the testimonies of the soldiers who survived the horrors of the war. In the end He also spoke President of Greedingwho thanked all present for the common prayer, support and solidarity manifested by the Ukrainian nation.

Vladyka Jonáš met Archbishop Ševčuk in Kiev and personally handed over a monetary gift from the priests of the Prešov Archieparchia. Money is intended for priests who operate among people in the poorest regions in eastern Ukraine. In the coming days, almost ten tons of humanitarian aid will arrive in Ukraine, collected by believers of the Prešov Archieparchia.
