The controversial KneeCap group is canceling the US tour. One of the members faces a trial in the UK for alleged manifestations of Hezbollah support.

The controversial Irish rap group KNECAP announced that it was canceling the planned tour of the United States. The reason is the court hearing in the United Kingdom if one of its members is facing the alleged support of the Lebanese militant Hezbollah movement. According to the AFP report, TASR reports this.

“Given the proximity of our next trial in London on the first date of the tour, as the British government continues in the witch’s Hon, we will have to cancel all 15 October concerts in the US,” the band said in a statement published on social networks on Monday late night.

They are planning a bigger tour

“However, as soon as we win a lawsuit, which we will certainly win, we promise to go on an even bigger tour,” the band’s statement said, saying that ticket holders can apply for a refund.

The 27 -year -old singer of the band Liam O’Hanna, who performs under the artistic name of the MO Chara, was accused in May of supporting the forbidden organization. The case is related to an incident in which he pulled the flag of Hezbollah last year at a concert in London and chanted “Long live Hamas, let him live his head.”

KneeCap, known for the confrontational style and Irish nationalist messages, has been on the front pages of the media for sharp criticism of Israel for his military offensive in the Gaza Strip. However, it denies that it would support violence or prohibited groups.

The Hungarian government has decided to ban KneeCap to enter the country and to perform at the Sziget festival, referring to (their) hateful speeches and the open praise of Hamas and Hezbollah. KneeCap also withdrew festivals in Scotland and Germany this year.
