US President Donald Trump said on Monday that the war in the Gaza Strip will reach the “irreversible end” in the next two or three weeks. He informed The Times of Israel (Toi), but stressed that it is not clear what facts Trump built his claims, TASR writes.
“It’s hard to say because they have been fighting for thousands of years. But I think we’re doing a very good job … It has to end, but people can’t forget October 7,” added the US President, referring to the day when Hamas’s Hamas attack on South Israel War in the Gaza Strip began.
When asked whether he was in contact with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recently, he replied that he had good relations with him and that they had cooperated to stop the Iranian nuclear program.
“We have achieved great success in Iran. We have removed their threat. It would be terrible if they had nuclear weapons, and they would certainly use them,” he said.
“Now we talk about Gaza. There’s always talk about something …
At some point, it will be solved … You’d better solve it as soon as possible, ”he added, and reiterated that“ no one can forget about October 7 ”.
According to a report of the integrated classification of food security phases (IPC) supported by the United Nations (UN) in Gaza is famine.
“It has to end … between hunger and all other problems – worse than hunger, death, pure death – people are killed,” Trump continued.
Toi recalls that Trump has repeatedly used the timeframe of “two weeks” to predict important events in the US and abroad (since the war between Russia and Ukraine, through Iranian nuclear negotiations, to the tariffs on duties), but these predictions have often not fulfilled.
