The Ukrainian leader clarifies that Washington and Kiev were developing security guaranteesrequested by Ukraine from its Western allies to protect itself from any Russian attacks after a peace agreement.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky indicated on Monday that he discussed potential economic sanctions and other means to press Russia with US envoy Keith Kellogg, who was visiting Kiev.
“I had a large meeting with US President General Keith Kellogg’s special envoy,” Zelensky wrote on social networks.
According to the Ukrainian leader, ways to “influence Russians, force them to get involved in real negotiations and finish the Russians in February 2022.
“Sanctions, rates – everything should remain on the agenda,” said Zelensky.
The Ukrainian leader clarified that Washington and Kiev were developing security guaranteesrequested by Ukraine from its Western allies to protect itself from any Russian attacks after a peace agreement.
Volodymyr Zelensky said he also hoped his main points will be delineated “soon,” although security guarantees appear as a complex theme for both parties.
