Woman cooperated with Russian FSB
According to the prosecutor’s office, 63-year-old Erna Mojsejeva worked with the Russian FSB and provided her information on military technologies in Estonia. She was also accused of providing information on Estonian police officers and Russians working in Estonia. It may appeal against the judgment.
Mojsejevová tried twice on foot to cross the Estonian-Russian border with expensive wines despite the ban on exporting luxury goods to Russia. It was always detained by customs officers.
Authorities warn entrepreneurs employing people with Estonian-Russian citizenship
“Russian security services map the moods in the Estonian society and the attitudes of Estonians to find new recruits or make campaigns to influence public opinion,” said prosecutor Trinia Oleva Aas.
“As a result, seemingly irrelevant information may also be important. Therefore, we respond to any anti -pestonian relationships and cooperation with Russian security services,” she added.
Deputy Director of the Estonian internal security service (ISS) Taavi Narits claims that Estonian entrepreneurs employing people with dual Estonian-Russian citizenship should be aware of the risk. “The cheaper workforce does not survive the end of the country’s security,” he added.
