Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are engaged

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship is going from “It looks like it’s the High School” to “officially married.”
The couple announced the engagement Tuesday, through simultaneous posts on Instagram with the caption “your English teacher and your physical education teacher will marry.”
The post included five images of the couple to hold on to a floral scenario, with an approximate plane of the Swift ring-a stunning diamond-and another showing Kelce kneeling.
The news follows Swift’s appearance in Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast earlier this month, where the affection among the now groom was obvious.
Kelce’s father, Ed Kelce, told CNN affiliate Tuesday Tuesday, that his son proposed to Swift for almost two weeks in a garden in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, and that he learned of Kelce’s plans to marry her for months.
“They were about to go out to dinner and he said ‘let’s go to a glass of wine … They left and that’s when he proposed to her and it was beautiful,” Kelce’s father told Wews.
“They started doing video clings to make sure everyone knew. So seeing them together is great.”
A first “audaz” step
The almost two -year relationship began in September 2023, when Swift appeared in the first of many Kansas City Chiefs games, the NFL team where Kelce plays to support him.
It is said that it all started with a friendship bracelet with Kelce’s mobile phone number.
During an episode of 2023 of his “New Heights” podcast, Kelce admitted that he tried to give the bracelet Swift in one of his “Eras Tour” concerts. The attitude, according to Swift, was something that her herself considered “bold for caraces.”
They began to find themselves secretly shortly after that for “a significant period of time that no one knew, why I’m grateful, because we had the opportunity to meet,” added Taylor Swift.
“When I went to that first game,” said Taylor Swift, “we were already a couple.”
Since then, it has become a romantic comedy thing, with real scenes from the couple sharing a kiss on the field after the chiefs won the 2024 Super Bowl and Kelce to make a surprise appearance on stage during the Swift concert at Eras Tour in London.
Super Bowls and a “green light”
The couple have mostly kept outside their individual pages on social networks, with the exception of some viral posts they gave their followers a glimpse of the relationship.
Swift published a photo in 2024 with Kelce when the couple met Prince William and his three children, who went to their London concert, and in July Kelce shared a series of photos of the couple to show how their summer together passed.
Both posts, respectively, marked the first time Swift and Kelce published photos of each other on their Instagram pages.
The fervor around the 14 -time Grammy winner and three -time Super Bowl winner has captivated the audiences since it started, something they both recognized publicly.
“When you say a relationship is public, it means that I will see him do what he loves, that we are supporting us to each other, that other people are there and we do not care,” Swift told Time. “We are just proud of each other.”
Kelce said earlier during an appearance in an episode of the “Bussin With The Boys” podcast in 2024 that “can be complicated” to have a relationship with “someone who has so much” media attention. But: “She just remains so quiet and so cool and I can admire it for sure. I really started falling in love with her because of how genuine she’s close to friends and family.”
Kelce and Swift shared new information about their relationship in their recent conversation in “New Heights”. “If I had never gone to that concert at the Eras Tour and had never been mesmerized and captivated and then came out with such a great desire to meet you, I would never have come here and told everyone how upset I was (when I didn’t have the opportunity to give her a friendship bracelet I had made for her).
Swift made an audible “Aww” and added, “this is really beautiful.”
On the other point of the episode, Swift revealed the “green light” she saw at the beginning as she knew him, which was her ability to maintain friendships and her “loyal” nature.
And now Kelce has advanced and put a ring on her – specifically what appears to be a vintage -style engagement ring, with a 10-12 -carat mine cutting diamond apparently leaning into yellow gold, according to Lorel Diamonds jeweler Laura Taylor.
