(Reuters)-A shooting at a Catholic Mineápolis school on Wednesday left three people killed, including the shooter, and about 20 wounds, a US Department of Justice authority said.
Mineápolis police responded to a shot at a Catholic church and school at the southern end of the city, and the authorities had said the shooter was “contained.”
“There is no active threat to the community at this time. The gunman was contained,” said the city of Mineápolis at X.

The shot attack took place at the Church of the Annunciation, which also houses a primary school with pre-school students to eighth grade, according to its website.
The first day of the school year was Monday, based on a post on the school page on Facebook.
Internal Security Secretary Kristi Noem said in a post that DHS is monitoring the situation and in communication with local authorities.
