This device consumes the most electricity! Its use costs several hundred zlotys
Without electricity, it’s hard to imagine our functioning. All home appliances need electricity, which costs. Current prices in Poland are extremely uncertain, and the Veto of President Nawrocki can extend the trial. It is no wonder then that in such a situation more and more people are starting to wonder which device consume the most electricity. It turns out that “certainty” are not at all. The fridge, washing machines or TV were not at the top of the list.
According to PGNiG data, the most electricity is used by a turkey plate. On average, its electricity consumption is about 750 kWh, which translates into an amount of about PLN 800 a year. The remaining places were:
- electric oven (annual electricity consumption: 496.4 kWh),
- fridge (annual electricity consumption: 270 kWh),
- electric kettle (annual electricity consumption: 240 kWh),
- dishwasher (annual electricity consumption: 237 kWh).
How to save electricity on a turkey plate? You don’t have to give it up at all?
Although the use of a turkey board seems to be expensive, you do not have to give it up at all. For many people, the induction hob is comfortable and stylish. It works on the basis of copper spirals mounted under the top plate top. They are responsible for producing heat, which is transferred up and this way heats the vessels. Induction hobs are valued primarily for the safety of use. Unlike gas stoves, the induction hob does not have to be connected to gas and there is no contact with fire.
Few people know that there are some rules to save electricity when using an induction hob. Modern devices have many functions that allow you to match the temperature. For example, sensors detecting boiling water. Thanks to this, the device can adjust the temperature and power itself.
Producers of induction hobs also indicate a number of activities that will allow you to save electricity during cooking. Among the most recommended ones are:
- Cooking under cover – it can save up to 30 percent. energy consumption,
- using dishes with an even bottom,
- adjusting the size of the burner to the size of the vessel,
