Israeli attack on a hospital in Gaza claimed the lives of other journalists
On Monday, the Israeli air raid Nasir in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, with at least 20 people died. Among the victims were five journalists who worked for international agencies such as Reuters, Associated Press and Al-Jazeera.
They went to help him: According to witnesses and Palestinian medical officials, the first shot hit the space for the live broadcast, which was located on the upper floor of the hospital. At that moment, cameraman Hussam Al-Masri, an external collaborator of Reuters, lost his life. Just a moment later, Israel hit the same place a second time, resulting in the death of other journalists, rescuers and healthcare professionals who rushed to help.
Who died: Other dead journalists include Mariam Abu Dagga (Associated Press), Mohammed Salama (al-Jazeera), Moaz Abu Taha (freelance journalist) and Ahmed Abu Aziz. Another external collaborator Reuters, photographer Hatem Khaled, was injured.
“A tragic accident”: The event was also responded by the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who described the attack as a “tragic accident”. The Israeli army (IDF) confirmed that it had a blow near the hospital and promised an incident examination. At the same time, she reiterated that her aim is not journalists or civilians, but stressed that there is a huge risks in the active war zone with a terrorist organization such as Hamas.
International conviction: The death of journalists has triggered international reactions and condemnation. Reuters described the loss of its co -workers as overwhelming and asked the authorities for help to save the injured photographer. US President Donald Trump said “not happy” that it happened. The Palestinian journalist syndicate described the attack as an “open war against free media” and said that more than 240 Palestinian journalists have died since the beginning of the conflict in October 2023. The Committee on the Protection of Journalists (CPJ) has called on the international community that Israel will catch up with responsibility for “continuing unlawful press attacks”.
The last time this was not an accident: Monday incident is not unique in Gaza. Just two weeks ago, Israel killed Al-Jazera reporter Anas Al-Sharif and four other journalists. Israel then claimed that Al-Sharif worked for Hamas, which the television denied.
Prohibition of entry to foreign journalists: Since the beginning of the war, Israel has banned access to Gaza to all foreign journalists. The news from the place is thus provided exclusively by Palestinian journalists who often work for international media. These local newsletters deploy their lives to inform about events in Palestine.
Former elite American soldier Anthony Aguillar, who was sent to the Gaza Strip, describes in an interview that what he recently experienced in Gaza reminds him of “a post -apocalyptic film after the Nuclear War”. “It was the most devastating scene of extermination I have ever witnessed in my life,” he says in an extensive interview with the editor of the Foreign Department, Pavel Štrb.
A week in the sign of Donald Trump
You made calling again with Vladimir Putin: The US President answered positively to the journalistic question whether, after meeting with European leaders, 18 August was already talking to the Russian President. “Every conversation with him is a good conversation. And then, unfortunately, someone will detonate a bomb on Kiev or somewhere else, and I am very angry with it. I think we’ll end the war. It’s hard,” Trump continued.
The Summit of Ukraine and Russia is questionable: At the same time, Trump said he didn’t know if Putin would meet Zelensky. “Maybe yes, maybe not,” he said. “Two are needed on the tango. I always say it. They should meet before I meet them and probably conclude an agreement,” Trump continued. According to him, the meeting prevents the resistance of Putin to Zelenky. “He doesn’t like him.”
The EU threatens duty for digital taxes: Trump once again attacked Europe. Through his social network, Truth Social threatened to impose additional duties on countries whose digital rules and taxes discriminate against US companies. Trump has long criticized European laws, such as the Digital Services Act and the Digital Market Act, claiming that it is unfairly targeting US technology companies and censing US citizens. The European Commission responded to the threats, saying that it has a sovereign right to regulate economic activities in its territory in accordance with its own democratic values.
Mysterious bruise: During Monday’s meeting in the White House, Donald Trump’s right hand was again seen again. Similar injuries have appeared on his hands since last year, leading to speculation about his health. Although the originally spokeswoman of the White House Karoline Leavitt and Trump himself claimed that bruises were the result of strong handshake and use of aspirin, a letter from President’s doctor Sean Barbabella revealed that this was the result of chronic venous insufficiency. This was described by the doctor as “benign and normal condition, especially in persons over 70 years of age”.
Possible Trump’s challenge: After a harsh loss in the last presidential election, the American Democratic Party found itself in crisis, looking for a new strategy. A new hope appeared in this chaos – in the form of California Governor Gavin Newsom. He decided to leave the traditional moderate policy and received an unconventional approach: to fight against Donald Trump’s policy with the same weapons. This unexpected shift in communication can be crucial for Democrats and suggests that a bolder and more confrontational attitude is needed for success in the current political arena.

Diplomatic rupture of Ukraine and Hungary
Between Ukraine and Hungary, it escalates the tension again, this time after the attacks on the Druzhba pipeline and the verbal shootout, which was launched by the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyj. During the press conference, the journalist wondered whether Ukraine after the attacks on the Druzhba oil pipeline and at the same time negotiating with US President Donald Trump gained more influence on Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban as regards the Hungarian veto of Ukraine’s accession to the European Union.
Friendship depends on Hungary: Greeding funnyly responded with reference to the Druzhba pipeline (Friendship translation). He thus indicated that the fate of “friendship” between the two countries depends on the attitude of Hungary. Budapest was outraged by this statement, and the Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó threatened that the attacks on the energy infrastructure he considers as attacks on Hungarian sovereignty must stop.
Toward independence: His Ukrainian colleague Andriy Sybiha responded promoted to the statements of Szijjártó, who pointed out the Hungarian side not to speak to the Ukrainian president of what to say, and instead diversified her energy sources to become independent of Russia.
