Buenos Aires, Argentina (Folhapress) – Javier’s caravan Milei in Lomas de Zamora, Greater Buenos Aires, ended abruptly, after opponents threw stones at the president of Argentina and clashed with his supporters.
During the passage of the truck where Milei was, stones and objects were launched against the entourage. The event was attended by Maximiliano Bondarenko, candidate for the Milei party, which was reportedly hit. The truck driver, under police protection, accelerated to escape the area.
Milei’s militants blame peronists for the attack. The caravan started 15 blocks earlier, and the meeting point in Lomas de Zamora was established near Grigera Square.
Shortly before the confusion, Avier Milei first spoke directly about the leakage scandal of audios that would point to alleged corruption at the National Agency for People with Disabilities.
Milei said that lies are the statements attributed to the former director of the agency, Diego Spagnuolo, who deals with bribes in the purchase of medicines involving the sister of the president, Karina Milei, secretary general of the presidency.
“All he says is a lie, let’s take him to court and prove that he lied,” the head of state told a campaign caravan when he was consulted by a journalist.
The recordings are attributed to Spagnuolo, which reports the existence of a bribery system in the purchase of medicines and prostheses that would favor Karina Milei, sister of the president and secretary general of the Argentine presidency, and her nearest advisor, Eduardo Lule Menem.
