PF holds Red Command Trafficker in Bolivia

A joint action between the Integrated Force to Combat Goiás Organized Crime, the Federal Police International Police Cooperation Center and Bolivian authorities resulted in the capture, in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia, of trafficker Márcio José Iporte de Souza.

Born in Goiás, the fugitive since 2022 was the target of arrest warrant issued by the Federal Regional Court of the 1st Region, and also as investigated in Operation Spettro, triggered by Ficco/GO this year.

The prisoner, appointed by the authorities as a member of the Red Command, Rio de Janeiro’s largest faction, was also on Interpol’s red list as an international fugitive in 196 countries.

The arrest took place on Monday (25) in the afternoon, near a college.

After the arrest, he was expelled from Bolivia and sent to the Corumbá PF (MS), where he is arrested, according to the Federal Police.

The practice of expulsion of international fugitives has been a practice between Paraguay and Bolivia with Brazil of members of organized crime.

The investigated is responsible for crimes of drug trafficking, money laundering, irregular possession of a firearm of allowed use and association for trafficking.
