Research shows that almost a third of students experienced unforeseen events and accidents about children aged 7-18. Parents asked what their children most often faced, indicated in the case of a bicycle or scooter, limb fracture or infectious diseases. In addition, parents ‘violence, insect bites – including ticks, hate towards a child on the Internet or diagnosis of children’s depression appeared in the parents’ declarations. Some of these events entail the need to stay in a hospital, expenses for rehabilitation or tutoring to supplement the knowledge of knowledge caused by longer absence at school.
– Our experience shows that the most typical damage to health, which children experience at school, but not only at school are bone fractures and cracks as well as twisting and sprains of the joints. They cover two -thirds of all cases reported to us as part of the NNW insurance included in the Link4 Child. Accidents occur mainly during games and physical games in playgrounds or fields, but they also occur when returning from school, as a result of the so -called “Flood” or road accidents, for example on a bike or scooter. Our insurance works in all these cases. Importantly, our insurance works not only at school, or when returning from school home, but also when the child suffered a damage to health during a trip by car or during holidays and holidays – says Agata Ambroziak-Rogulska, director of the Link4 product department.
According to analyzes, 9 out of 10 children have school insurance. And it pleases, but it is worth considering whether, apart from NNW, our child does not need additional protection. Among the parents’ biggest fears, apart from body injuries, there is violence of peers towards the child, prolonged absence from school caused by illness, developing child depression, problems with drugs. This is indicated by more than half of mothers and fathers. It is also worth providing help in the situation of such problems.
Parents are afraid of depression
One of the important fears of parents is child depression. 54 percent are already afraid of it. parents. Almost 9 out of 10 agrees with the claim that nowadays many children are exposed to risk factors of depression. A similar percentage admits that in Poland too little is said about it, and child psychiatry is neglected. Parents also realize that even children under 10 years of age can get this disease. As experts indicate, among the symptoms of depression in children, in addition to sadness or lower activity, there are often concentration, appetite or change of sleep pattern, and thus difficulty falling asleep or early waking up. NNW insurance included in the LINK4 Dziecko package includes protection of unfortunate accidents causing damage to the child’s health or his death. NNW insurance includes, among others, a benefit of too many damage to health and injuries, including fractures, dislocations, sprains, damage, loss of solid teeth, paralysis, burns or frostbite, as well as for a child’s stay in a hospital (as a result of an accident) or a brain with a brain. If necessary, tutoring will be organized (in the absence of a child at a school of 7 days caused by an accident or illness). Research methodology
The tests were conducted using the CAWI method on a group of 1002 parents with children aged 7 to 18. The attempt was considered to be the population of children in terms of age, region and the size of the town.
