Gunman was found dead in the ship of the church where the shooting took place
At least three people died and 17 were injured after a man shot to kill through the windows of the Annunciation Catholic School Church in Minneapolis, United States.
According to the city’s authorities, the threat is no longer active as the shooter was found lifeless in the church’s ship, one of three mortal victims to record.
“School children’s families can go to the school meeting zone,” read the information provided.
Moreover, the mayor of Minneapolis confirmed that “there are children killed at school”, not clarifying exactly how many or what age they are.
This information came later, by the city’s police chief, Brian O’hara, who clarified that two 8- and 10 -year -old children died in this shooting, where the shooter used a shotgun, a shotgun and a pistol.
Police also clarified that the number of injuries was encrypted in 17, not 20, as was initially advanced. Of these victims, 14 are children, two of them in critical condition.
Minnesota State Governor Tim Walz confirmed that the authorities were responding to a shooting situation, adding that he was “praying for the children and teachers who were in the first week of school, which was damaged by this horrible act of violence.”
Shortly thereafter, the city of Minneapolis account was that “the gunman is contained,” ensuring that there was no threat to the community. According to CNN, the man responsible for the shooting suicide shortly afterwards.
At the scene are also federal agents, confirmed the attorney general, Pam Bondi, who addressed all his prayers to those involved in this “tragedy”.
The president of the United States is also already in the current situation, after being informed by the FBI. It was Donald Trump himself to realize this: “The FBI responded quickly and is in place.”
