The Municipal Secretariat of São Paulo has produced two books with support content for educators and school staff to know how to identify and how to act on suspicions of “and intrafamily violence.
The works were entitled “to know to protect: facing violence against babies, children and adolescents” and “know to protect: facing violence in early childhood”. The first book has already been printed, and the last one has the digital version for now.
There are chapters that address how educators can dialogue with those responsible for students, the importance of affective relationships in the educational space and the various faces of violence.
Data from the City Hall point out that, this year alone, almost 5,500 cases of suspicion of violence in the homes of children and adolescents were identified.
The municipal network today brings together 524 thousand babies and children up to five years, and 452,200 students from 6 to 17 years. In all there are almost 65 thousand teachers.
To accompany children and youth, management () also has Naapa (Support and Monitoring Center for Learning), which supports schools with psychologists and psychopedagogues.
