Journalists in Lebanon ask for an apology from a special American ambassador Thomas Barrack. “Behave civilized, behave nicely, behave tolerant, because this is a problem for what is happening in the region,” he added.

The syndicat of the photojournalists described Barrack’s statements as “direct insults,” which create “a serious and completely unacceptable precedent.” In his statement, he asked the syndicate “immediate and public justification” and refused to attempts “to downplay the seriousness of what happened or leave it without responsibility”.

For a public apology, Barrack and the syndicat of the editor -in -chief of the press called on and indicated the possibility of a boycott of future visits and meetings of the American ambassador.
The Union of Journalists in Lebanon said Barrack’s statements were “a reflection of unacceptable arrogance in contact with the media,” and also called for an apology.
The deputy from Hezbollah and the President of the Media Parliamentary Committee identified the statements of the American ambassador as an “obvious insult” and called on the government to summon the US ambassador.
