Survey shows that most use extra jobs to complement the income

Social mobility and consumer habits

The survey also addressed social mobility, in a survey conducted from December 2 to 27, 2024. The data show that 72% of respondents reached higher education than their parents, 47% gained better housing conditions and 45% have higher income than their parents when they were the same age.

Regarding the financial situation of interviewees in the last 12 months, 34% reported a decrease in earnings, 40% kept stable income and 17% managed to increase their income.

The study also identified changes in consumer habits. In the last 12 months, 41% of respondents have reduced meat consumption, while 29% increased egg purchase.

Perception of poverty and hunger

Regarding the perception of hunger and poverty, 2/3 of participants (66%) believe that these problems have increased in their capitals last year. Of this total, 39% indicated significant increase and 27% pointed to moderate growth.
