Román Cuesta, a journalist from the Diario Red Digital, denounced Thursday that a group of three ultra -rightists assaulted him at the door of his house last night. His aggressors were waiting for him inside a car, they tried to hit him and sprayed him pepper gas, according to the complainant. In a video of the aggression, which circulates on social networks, it can be seen how they pulverize it with a spray. Cuesta has identified among the attackers a woman of the Ultra orbit who was subject to a recent investigation of her, as well as her couple.
The journalist has reported in an interview with TVE that three people who were inside a car ran to him when he went out for coffee with his wife, and, “without a word” tried to attack him. He has assured that this Thursday has filed the complaint and that one of the attackers, which he has identified with name and surname, is linked to the fascist organization, and just had published an article about it. The other aggressor is the woman’s couple and Vox candidate in 2019 to the mayor of Blanes, a town in Girona. The former government president, Pablo Iglesias, who directs Diario Red, has assured that both have already been arrested.
The newspaper of Diario Red has dedicated several of his articles to reveal the identity of stalkers and ultras agitators on social networks. The aggression against him has produced a wave of solidarity from political leaders, mainly left, such as Irene Montero, Ione Belarra or the Minister of Transportation, Óscar Puente.
