After being a victim, Russian from Acre joins MPAC in a campaign against virtual harassment

The Public Prosecution Service of Acre (MPAC) carried out an awareness action on virtual sexual harassment in partnership with influencer Aleksandra Shogenova, known as Russian in Acre. Recently, the influencer has published a video denouncing inappropriate messages she has been receiving on social networks, warning that this type of behavior should not be tolerated.

In the video, Aleksandra stressed that virtual sexual harassment happens anywhere – in Brazil, Russia and also in Acre – and that messages of sexual content sent without consent configure a crime. She pointed out that, even if it is on the internet, harassment makes people uncomfortable and insecure and should not be treated as a joke. “Some men send messages of sexual content, even married. And that’s not just disrespect, it’s a crime. So if it happened to you, report,” he said.

To assist victims, MPAC has made available service channels, such as the Victim Care Center (CAV), the Specialized Women’s Service Police Station (Deam), as well as national support lines such as 180 and 190 in cases of urgency. The influencer also stressed the importance of seeking help and registering occurrence report whenever necessary.

The caption of the video posted by Aleksandra highlighted:

“Virtual harassment is a crime. Report! It’s not normal, it’s not just a joke.”

The MPAC stresses that prevention and complaint are fundamental to combat virtual harassment, ensuring security and respect for victims anywhere, including the internet.
