Arthur Cabral: Numbers in Botafogo and Goals
Arthur Mendonça Cabral was born on April 25, 1998, in Campina Grande (PB). He began the trajectory in Campinense and later moved to Ceará, where he stood out in the base categories and debuted professionally in 2015, at 17.
In Alvinegro, the striker consolidated himself as a starter in 2018, scoring 24 goals in 55 matches and winning the Cearense Championship. Arthur’s performance caught the attention of Palmeiras, who hired him for $ 5 million. However, the player’s passage in the São Paulo team was brief and without much prominence.
After successful passages at Basel, Switzerland, Italy Fiorentina and Benfica de Portugal, the player returned to Brazilian football.
Botafogo announced the attacker in July, after Igor Jesus’s departure. The striker signed a definitive contract with a total amount of 15 million euros – about R $ 95 million in the current quotation – including bonuses for achieved goals.
For the Rio team, Arthur has 13 games, four goals and two assists.
