Lucas was able to go to the funeral of grandmother Joanice Jorge da Costa after authorization from the Supreme Court Minister (). He was escorted by at least 30 DF Criminal Police officers (PPDF).
The man was arrested on January 8, 2023 for participating in undemocratic acts on the Esplanade of Ministries. He was released days later, but was, by “founded fear of escape”, when there is a suspicion that the accused can try to escape to avoid a lawsuit.
The video below, recorded on June 6, 2024, shows Lucas Brasileiro being arrested by PF in Sobradinho. He says goodbye to family members and enters the back seat of the corporation’s car, which would take him to the Papuda Penitentiary Complex.
