Fed director Cook files a lawsuit against her release

Washington-The dismissal of Fed director Lisa Cook, which was decided by US President Donald Trump, lands on court. The monetary authority filed a lawsuit on Thursday, in which she represented the position that the US President had no authority to remove her from office. The lawsuit states that Trump has violated a federal law that allows the President to dismiss a Fed directorate member only for an important reason.
