Nicolau Júnior highlights the appreciation of family farming at the Farinha Festival

The president of the Acre Legislative Assembly (Aleac), Nicolau Júnior, participated on Wednesday night (27) the opening of the eighth edition of the Flour Festival, in Cruzeiro do Sul. The event, which brings together rural producers, businessmen and entrepreneurs from the Juruá region, was also marked by the inauguration of the new roundabout in front of the sports complex.

Nicolau Júnior congratulated the organization of the festival and stressed its importance for the local economy. “It is very good to value our producers and give them the opportunity to expose their products. The flour here is the best in the world, has certificate, and this needs to be celebrated. This party benefits not only South Cruise, but the entire region of Juruá,” he said.

The parliamentarian also stressed the diversity of attractions present at the event. “In here we have entrepreneurs showing their products, we have the cruzeirense cuisine, which is wonderful, and a space for the farmer to present his work. The Flour Festival generates employment, income and strengthens the culture of the interior of Acre,” he said.

For Nicholas, the festival arrives at a symbolic moment. “In August, we participated in the Acai Festival in Feijó, which has recognized geographical indication, as well as our flour. It is a perfect combination: acai with flour is the identity of our region. Cruzeiro do Sul is to be congratulated for the organization and I will be here honoring until the last day of the event,” he concluded.
