The PF (Federal Police) arrested on Wednesday (27.2025) a woman convicted by the Supreme Court (STF) for crimes related to acts of January 8, 2023. According to the corporation, she was detained at Belo Horizonte International Airport, when she landed on a deported flight from the United States.
“After examination of a body of offense, the prey was taken to the penitentiary system, where it will remain available to the court”Said the PF in. The name of the woman was not disclosed. According to the newspaper, it is Rosana Maciel Gomes.
Rosana was sentenced to 14 years in prison for 5 acts related to acts of 8 January.
She went along with 3 other women also convicted of acts related to the invasion of the three powers in 2023. The group was arrested on January 21 while trying to cross the border in El Paso in the American state of Texas. They stayed in the custody of ICE (the US immigration and customs service).
The US agency reported that the arrests were made during border patrols. Women were processed under the regime of “rapid expulsion”, Which allows the deportation of foreigners without judicial hearing.
Until 12.ago.2025, the STF already for acts of January 8, 2023. In all, 638 were tried and convicted and another 552 admitted less serious crimes and closed agreement with the MPF (Federal Prosecutor). The balance considers all the inquiries of the case.
According to data from the office of Supreme Minister Alexandre de Moraes, rapporteur of the case, of the 638 convictions, 279 were for serious crimes – as an attempt to abolish the Democratic Rule of Law, coup, qualified damage, criminal association and deterioration of public assets. Another 359 were for less serious crimes, such as incitement and criminal association. 10 people were acquitted.
