The night of Tuesday (26) entered the history of Cruzeiro do Sul. The mayor, Elter Nóbrega, sanctioned the bill that regulates the activity of Moto Ubers in the municipality, guaranteeing rights and officially recognizing the profession.
The proposal, authored by Councilwoman Valéria Lima, represents a significant advance for more than 100 families that depend on the activity. In his speech, Valeria highlighted the symbolism of conquest:
“It is a historic milestone in our city. Workers, men and women, who have long performed their function as motorcycle drivers, now have legal recognition. This chamber, in just eight months of operation, delivers a concrete result to the population,” he said.

President Elter Nóbrega also stressed the relevance of the measure and congratulated the councilwoman author of the project.
“I want to congratulate here the councilwoman Valeria for the project presented. Sometimes we may think that is little, but it is not. The person leaves informality and can work more safely, without fear of circulating with the police. It is important that the House does this work of regularization of these categories. And the most relevant: maintaining the union.
