In the midst of the diplomatic crisis between governments (PT) and the governor of São Paulo (Republicans), prepares the sending of his main assistant, the Secretary of the Civil House, Arthur Lima, to a mission in. The initiative is seen as a counterpoint to the federal government’s positions in relation to the country.
The trip is articulated by the Parliamentary Front in Defense of the Union between Brazil and Israel, installed at Alesp (Legislative Assembly) at the end of last year by Allied Deputies of Tarcisio.
“We will bring the demonstration that the majority of the population of and Brazil is with Israel,” said state deputy Danilo Campetti (Republicans), front coordinator. According to him, the mission will serve as a response to President Lula’s “disastrous and wrong manifestations” over the country.
The invitation came from the consulate of Israel in São Paulo and foresees agendas in and Jerusalem, as well as visits to places affected by the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023.
The São Paulo government will send two technicians besides Lima: the Undersecretary of Diplomatic Affairs, Samo Sérgio Gonçalves Tosatti, a career servant at Itamaraty given to the state, and his assistant Bruno Berkiensztat.
In the case of Alesp, there will be seven deputies, of which six are pockets, according to the front coordinator: Gil Diniz (PL), Lieutenant Coimbra (PL), Lucas Bove (PL), Paulo Mansur (PL), Dani Alonso (PL) and Captain Roof (PP), besides Campetti himself. He and the governor have known themselves since 1992, when they joined together at the Army Cadet Preparatory School in Campinas, and graduated in the same class as Aman (Military Academy of Negras). Lima worked at the GSI (Institutional Security Office) between 2008 and 2011, during the Lula administration.

The folder also stated that “the objective of the mission is to strengthen institutional relations and promote the exchange of experiences and good practices between the Israeli and Brazilian authorities” and that all expenses will be funded by the State of Israel.
