The ANP pointed out that it will continue to collaborate with the MP, providing analysis results, product movement data and other relevant information. In recent years, the agency has intensified the use of intelligence tools to investigate and map economic groups suspected of fuel market irregularities.
This performance has already resulted in assessments, interdictions and even revocation of companies’ authorizations in areas such as importation, production, formulation, distribution and resale of fuels and biofuels. According to ANP, cooperation with the prosecutor and other organs is continuous, especially when structured irregularities are identified with possible criminal and civil impacts.
