Vienna/Frankfurt-The National Bank (OENB) will open a new chapter next Monday: Martin Kocher, ex-IHS boss and until recently ÖVP economy and labor minister, his position as governor and thus the top central banker in the country. The 51-year-old economist takes over Robert Holzmann’s business, who was at the head of the OENB for six years. In the associated function as an ECB council member, Kocher should expect turbulent times.
