Increasingly, it seems that it is acquiring the “Bloquons Tout” protest in the wave of “to block everything) against his government and the austerity budget presented by the prime minister.
Oriented social media accounts, as well as polls and measurements, show that the river of protesters is preparing to “swallow” French cities and streets, even two days after completing the discussion at the National Assembly for her political life.
The story of Bloquons Tout
The first appearance of the slogan of the “blocking everything” movement was on May 21 on the internet and specifically in the Telegram application and there has been a lot of debate that this is the “continuation of the yellow vests”. According to reports, Bloquons Tout is a creation of the Les Essentiels team led by a Zilien Marisio.
Gradually more and more have begun to “follow” the team’s updates and express interest in their involvement in mobilizations.
The great moment of the movement that had now been unofficially embraced by the far -right, but the left came on July 14th. The next day Bairou presented the budget of 44 billion euros cuts, and the team called on September 10.
The attitude of parties and unions
By mid -August, no official body or party had supported the mobilization of Bloquons Tout. The beginning was made by Jean -Lik Melanson of the France (LFI) and followed by the Ecologists, the CC of France (PCF) and part of the Socialists (PS). On the contrary, the national alarm (RN), the Lepenic far -right, is still refusing to officially take a position in favor of the movement.
Concerning trade unions, which in the past have played a key role in increasing pressure on governments and Emmanuel Macron himself, so far it has been reluctant to support the mobilization of September 10. To decide what stance they will take and whether they will support the movement with strikes and marches, they had initially scheduled a meeting for September 1, but eventually the meeting will take place tomorrow after the Prime Minister’s profession, announcing that he would seek a vote two days before.
Although they have not made specific decisions, several trade unions and federations, such as the CGT Chimie and the CGT Commerce, as well as Solidaires, Sud Rail and Sud Industrie, appear positive to support the mobilization, while Jean Lik Melanson has asked the unions to declare a general one.
Bayrou asked for a vote of confidence to escape?
In this context, there are a few who estimate that Bairou announced a vote of confidence before September 10, in order to avoid pressure from the movement and at the same time if it fails to receive it – as is the dominant scenario – to give the space to the space.
Two -thirds of the French want to ‘block everything’
Of course there is a significant chance that this assessment will be disproved and the relevant poll findings are moving in this direction last week. As Politico said in a report, a poll by Toluna Harris Interactive on behalf of RTL showed that two in three respondents were in favor of the “closing of the country” on September 10, including the overwhelming majority of voters.
