Fluminense had a penalty annulled in the final stretch of defeat to Bahia 1-0, this Thursday (28/08), at the Fonte Nova Arena, in the first game of the quarterfinals of the 2025 Brazilian Cup. The bid took place 42 minutes in the second half.
With Flu in search of the draw, Canobbio crossed, Soteldo received in the area and kicked. The ball took the elbow of Santiago Arias inside the area and referee Raphael Claus (SP) scored a penalty. Then Claus was called by video referee Wagner Reway (SC) and went to see what happened in VAR. Without taking too long, the referee annulled the penalty.
