PT leader in the House wants to investigate how criminal organizations use digital banks in money laundering schemes

The PT leader in the House, (RJ), filed on Thursday (28.ago.2025) the application for installation of the fintechs CPI and began collecting signatures to enable the investigation. Read A (PDF- 230kb)

The document was presented after the operation of the PF (Federal Police) which served search warrants, seizure and arrest against about 350 targets with the objective of dismantling (first command of the capital) in the fuel sector, with branches in financial sector companies. Authorities speak of evasion of more than R $ 7.6 billion in federal, state and municipal taxes.

The Commission aims to investigate how criminal organizations use digital banks and technological financial institutions in their operations. The investigation will focus on transactions that can configure money laundering brokered by these companies.

According to Lindbergh the commission also aims to investigate the “Disinformation network that tries to confuse the population to favor criminals.”

In his official X profile, he: “The CPI will face organized crime, the intermediation of Faria Lima fintechs in a sophisticated outsourcing scheme of money laundering and the misinformation networks used to attack institutions and weaken the fight against money laundering.”
